Disney Day

Yay, what a nice start to a good week. Monday after work, Don came over and we went off to Disneyland for the afternoon. We made it down, hit a few rides, had a nice dinner, saw a piece of parade and closed the park down. Small World was "new" - which is to say they've cleaned it all up and added some new Disney-themed characters in each land. But best of all was Space Mountain, as it always is. And we had some interesting conversation on the drive home... which has me thinking about my life... and my goals... and my interests... but I have a few years to figure it all about - the world doesn't end for a couple years yet.

Techno Rave

And the week progressed until it was Saturday. Saturday I woke up early to go to Pomona for a Tech Fair. It was 7 hours of seminars on how to use technology in the classroom to make learning more... well... technical. Some of it was very interesting, but other parts of it... I wonder how those presenters got approval for their presentations. Then there were the technical difficulties - if you're running a presentation that requires websites as demos, then you really should cache the websites in order to complete the demo. Yes? But most important, at the end of the day I won a door prize: 54 fruit rollups. Yay.

Garden Party

The week ended as it began. With fun and Don. He threw a shindig on Sunday for those of us who had not yet seen the HBO presentation of Gray Gardens. It was nice to see the background information presented on screen. It was good to meet some of his friends that I'd heard a lot about - such at Matty - and to see others again - such as Jason.
