Up and Out

I was literally going crazy doing nothing but moving and unpacking and shifting and unpacking and unpacking. Literally. Not figuratively, not metaphorically. Literally. Crazy. So I had to get out. Fortunately, Chris was up to coming up to LA to see Up, the new Disney/Pixar movie. And he wanted to see it in 3-D. I was excited, he was going to be my first houseguest. But that was not to be. Traffic foiled that plan. Not the whole night, just the guest part. We had to shift plans and meet at Hollywood and Highland to see the movie at the El Capitan. I haven't seen a 3-D flick since Vincent Price in House of Wax, and it was truly amazing how far things have come.
After the flick some celebration was in order - so we headed to Drag Queen Bingo at Hamburger Mary's. And I'm so glad we did because I won! The Grand Prize. Me. How awesome is that? Ok, so I won at the same time as someone else, and gave away half the prize, but kept some cool and fun and useful things like Trader Joe gift cards and dining out gift cards and cocoa butter lotion... hmmm....?

The New Place

I thought last week was tough with the physical move, but that wasn't quite the hardest part. Finding a place for everything is next to impossible. So impossible, in fact, that I was forced to go shopping at Ikea just to have places to put all my crap. But I think it turned out all right in the end. I got a lot sorted and put back and cleaned up and feeling much more settled. I still have a few boxes in the garage at the old place, so another trip or two is in order, but now that I have place for it, I can get to it. And this time next week I'll be in New Orleans, so time is surely running out. But just finished a Full Moon here and focused on cleansing and sending myself good vibes!

This is just here for... well... because he's... I mean... Just look at him! So yeah, now I'm a Twilight fan.

Going Down

Down 7. I definitely think the sweat from packing and unpacking must have balanced out any celebratory vodka and ice cream. This week I try out the fitness room at the new complex.
