I totally wanna be a porn star. Not so I can have sex on camera, but so I can go to Yule parties like this one EVERY DAY! Don invited me as his "plus one" to the Randy Blue Holiday Dinner & Party. Now, I'd met a few of the RB boys before - both the boys on and behind the camera, and I'd met Randy before at Angela's party, but this... this was delightful! Drinks and dinner at Benihana's before going back to Randy's house for cocktails and music and fun. I credit Randy for all his Southern charm in knowing how to do things right. And I got to hang out a bit with the people I know so much about (thank you FaceBook and Twitter) but rarely ever see: Nick, Jeremy and Pretty David. It's a good thing Don has a certain type because if *I* worked there I'd be hard all day long. Pretty, pretty everywhere. Muscles, tattoos, sexy flirtatious smiles... so wonderful. In fact, it's the most wonderful time of the year! Thanks Randy, and thanks Don for inviting me!

That's not the only place Don invited me this week - we also went on Monday to the Village Variety Pack at the LA Gay Center. He won the tickets when we went to see the "Mismatch Game" a few weeks ago. It was fun - definitely put me in the holiday spirit. Enough to go for martinis at Mary's afterward. Comedy, singing, sketches, and prizes - who could as for more?

Small Things That Matter

I guess if I did ask for more, I'd ask for speed. But these things take time. I've been hitting the gym mornings still and it's been paying off. I have measurable results. This time I'm going all the way. And I learned another lesson about things that matter. I went to the choir and band concert this week at my school. The kids noticed, and were really very very happy that I went to cheer them on. Even the band teacher came to see me the next day and said it really mattered to the kids that their teachers showed up and he wanted to thank me. Wow. Nice.

Houseboy Hunting

I had another trial and error this week. A college boy from Texas that moved out here with big dreams interviewed "date-style" for my houseboy. He would not shut up. I had finished my food and drink and he still had 3/4 of a patty melt and all his fries left. After 20 minutes, I had to tell him to stop talking, take a breath, and relax. He wasn't nervous, this was just what he was like. Ok, my decision was made. Next! This aging Capricorn doesn't have time for all that blather. I would like to interview his blond friend, Hunter, now, please!
