THE GOOD LIFE: MAKING IT COUNT

It was back to work this week. For 2 1/2 days. Our 19-day Winter Break ended on Thursday, January 7, to honor the Armenian Christmas on January 6. Then it was work as usual for Thursday, Friday and Saturday detention on Saturday.

So I had to make the best of it on my last few days: a museum trip, and some celebrating with friends, and taking in a movie.

The Getty Villa was pretty amazing. I took a lot of pictures, took a tour, had a lovely lunch Euro-style, and enjoyed the last day before work began again.

To celebrate the both the start and end of the week, Don and I hung out a few times - and I'm not sure which I enjoyed more: spending the evening talking and catching up with him while watching the MJ's Peep Show or sitting quietly in the dark with plastic glasses on during the 3 hours of Avatar. I was hoping to hang out at Universal Citywalk with him after - if we had, that would have won hands down - but he had to get Keriann home for a hockey game.

All in all, a good week, a good start to what I hope will be a good year.

Oh, and in keeping with one of my resolutions, I'm going to be posting accountability about my weight on here. A few years ago when I did this, it kept me on target and I hit my goals. Then I lost my way. But to get back on track, I'm down 6 pounds since Jan 1. Only a few hundred more before I get down to my birth weight.
