THE GOOD LIFE: RECONNECTING WITH GOOD FRIENDS

It is only the third week of the new year, but already older patters are setting in. I am looking forward to breaking them in the next few weeks. But I refer specifically to the fact that Monday through Thursday I did darn little aside from work. Routine: Wake up, hit the gym for cardio, drink coffee, go to work, stay until 4:30 or 5, and then... nothing? How do I lose those hours?

Oh, there was one change mid-week - a union meeting. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but our association is fighting HARD to keep our unlimited, fully-funded health benefits. I am of two minds on this issue.

But I digress, let me focus on the good things of the week. Saturday night I had a lovely reunion with Gus, whom I hadn't seen in ages and ages. It was also my first time at Furr Trade at the Faultline, their Bear Bar event. I had a good time, mostly because of Gus and his friends Dan and Jason. Good people. Sunday I went down to Long Beach to have Drag Queen Brunch with them at Hamburger Mary's. Tres fun!

Oh, and in keeping with one of my resolutions, I'm going to be posting accountability about my weight on here. A few years ago when I did this, it kept me on target and I hit my goals. Then I lost my way. But to get back on track, I'm down 8 pounds since Jan 1. Only a few hundred more before I get down to my birth weight.
