Images played the theme this week. Not just because I started a photography class and needed to record a few dozen images according to a set of rules, but because it was a visually stunning week.

Rain. Lots of rain all week long. Images of flooding, white rolling clouds against a grey-black sky, streaks of water down windows running parallel to the blinds. And images of flying. A movie about life in the air. And images of color, when rainy skies opened up and blazed brilliant blue all weekend long, so that I could enjoy the colors of Hollywood Blvd. and Griffith Park and the complete lack of color at the Eagle. Black, the color of leather. Silver, the color of chains.

So this week, images. I hope I can amuse your eyes a little with the pictures of my week, even if my wit fails to do the job.

And for those of you who wrote encouraging things last week after seeing my resolution, thank you. The new number of the week is now 12. Yeah, there's an app for that!
