The week started on Monday, as they do, and Monday meant Disneyland. Don had the day off, and I got off at 3pm and we just hauled it to the park for a few hours of fun. It wasn't raining, it wasn't crowded, but they closed at 8pm. So, we had a few hours of rides - honestly, I think we hit more rides in 3 hours than I have been on in some 8-hour days there. So it basically rocked. Not to mention that after a few hours at Disneyland I basically forgot it was even a work day or that I had been yelling at kids just a few hours ago.
The week ended on Sunday, as they do, and the Super Bowl - which held no interest for me, so Don and I headed back off to Disneyland thinking the entire world would be glued to their televisions and we'd have the place to ourselves. Not so true. It was a bit more crowded than we expected, so we started off in California Adventure, had some lobster for lunch along with a delightful antioxidant cocktail and quite a bit of man-staring. Well, at least staring at parts of the hot men seated around Ariel's Grotto. And then we hit a few rides on that side of Walt's Kingdom.
Then it was back into the main park for some rides, some parade-watching and by 8pm we were both feeling like it had been a very fulfilling week. To see what happened between visits, well, that's what the other pages are for. |
