TRADIN' FURR

Saturday. What a night. It started with Don and Joel coming over for some cocktails and a viewing of Eating Out, that gay cult-semi-classic film. The more we drank, the funnier the film was. Magic. After a couple cocktails it was time to head on out to the Faultline for Furr Trade.

We got there and were having an ok time. Not great, just... ok. After about half an hour, things kicked in. I was having so much fun. Laughing with Don and Joel, making fun of the go-go pig, spotting ex-reality stars like Rami Kashou from Project Runway, and flirting with boys who wore cutout jeans showing off their perfect, smooth ass. Nice way to spend a night, eh? And of course, I was glad to see Pretty David and his entourage, including Jeremy and Nick and Raul and Andrew. We got to see sexy Dylan with his mohawk (you might remember him from one night at the Eagle where he, Bobby and Don posed in their three-mohawk, Charlie's Angels pose) and his quite tall friend Ric. It was fun. I think this whole Furr Trade thing could catch on. I even got hit on by some guy called Shaun who bought me a drink and gave me his number and kept teasing me because I couldn't remember his name thanks to a wee bit too much vodka in my soda. Oh, and he didn't text me back after I texted him the next morning, so whatever...

After the bar closed, we all trekked to the House of Pies for a late night snack. Don, Joel and I were joined by Dylan and Ric and someone called Chris Rini. He happened to know me already, and I knew about him, but hadn't really met. So we closed down House of Pies, too, and then I was shuttled home for a fuzzy night's sleep. Great night all round. Yes, I was pretty out of it, and fell asleep pretty fast, and slept way in on Sunday morning. Ok, afternoon.

I thought about trying to go out Sunday night to top it, but thought better of it. Why not just relish in the joy of a night well-spent? Why always try to do more, cheapening the value of the good time you'd already had? And, I'll admit, all that drinking and laughing wore me out. I was quite content to sit home and play with computers in the quiet solitude of my living room... ahhhh...
