There is no such thing as luck. People get what they deserve.
Monday night, Don and I went out to the Bullet for Alex's karaoke night. He told us that he was going to run for Mr. Long Beach Leather and I said I'd come down to cheer him on. He's a good person with a great heart and deserves to win.
So I texted and emailed anyone I knew who might want to go - I hate going anywhere alone. Social phobia, whatever... I hate it. Don't try and talk me out of it or I'll become one of those people on "Hoarders" that never leaves their house or throws out their garbage. I'm this close. But I digress...
Roger was the only one available that night, so he came over and we headed down to Long Beach. I am so grateful, because I had a really good time. I knew a bunch of people there and got to take some great shots (more shots are on my Facebook album than on here). Don and the other Los Angeles 10 were on a pub crawl to promote the fact that LA Leather Week started officially on Sunday with the Faultline Lot Party, so he was in and out. But I caught up with Gary and Todd and their new boy Daniel. I got to see Christopher a bit and hear what's on with him. And of course, got to see lots of sexy leather men and boys after whom I lusted freely.
Oh, and did I mention Alex won? Yep, the god of karaoke is now the Long Beach entrant for International Mr. Leather in Chicago.
Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. |
