MINI GAY DAZE AT DISNEYLAND:
SO SMALL THEY'RE HARD TO SEE

First day of Spring Break - What are you gonna do next?

I'm going to Disneyland. For Mini Gay Days. Real Mini. Tiny. Imperceptibly small.

I think there were maybe 50 of us there. It wasn't the big day - that's later in October, but it was the half-way mark so they threw a little day for the gays to get out their red shirts and practice being... well... gay. So Don and I went, thinking it would be some big giant thing. We saw almost no one in red. Maybe they're all on the train for the Big Red Ride, I thought. We had just missed it since we stopped for breakfast on the way. So around 2pm we get to the castle for the "Big Group Picture" only to find about 50 boys in red. That's it. Very small. Mini. With such a small group, they managed to take the picture on time if you can believe it, and Don and I, being 10 minutes late, were not in the photo. Damn the luck.

But none of that mattered. I got to meet some new people (Chris, Mark, Andy, Trevin [Andy was especially cute! He's the one with the hat in the group shot...] and... and... damn, I know there was one more...) and had a lot of fun goofing with Don.

Oh, and I also had the worst corn dog ever. Not because it was particularly bad, but because I lost a filling while eating it. So now my Spring Break includes a trip to the dentist. It's the second time I've lost this filling, it is the same one I lost in the UK and had refilled there ten years ago. I think it's time to just weld something in there instead of this unreliable "filling" business.

But back to Disney... we didn't stay that long, we left around 5 or so. Then it was back to my place for an impromptu dinner and cocktails before heading to the Eagle for a fundraiser. All in all, a most enjoyable afternoon.
