Now this was fun. This is starting to pay off. Going out more, more to the same places and seeing the same people, means seeing people that know me when I go out. That's fun.
So this Saturday, after a day of Disney, I went to the first fundraiser for Mr. Los Angeles Leather - a benefit for Project Angel Food and to help raise money for Brad's International Mr. Leather trip to Chicago in May.
I hung out for a while with Xavier, a guy I met almost ten years ago who wasn't that into leather then, but sure seems to be now. He ran for the Mr. Long Beach Leather title a few years ago, and came in 2nd place. That was a nice little reconnection. And the LA Ten are starting to recognize me and warm up to having a new guy to hang around with. All good.
I even made my peace with a photographer that had been getting on my tits for stepping into my shots at some of these leather events. We cleared the air, he's hired by the bars or the events, so my beef isn't with him. I just have to make sure to keep my elbows out when I'm trying to get a shot, to discourage anyone from stepping in frame.
Oh, and I won a prize at the raffle. After a long day at Disney, I won a Disney snow globe... at a leather bar. Interesting... |
