As much fun as Bearracuda was, it was a surprise. Yes I had it on my calendar, but it wasn't on my mind. This is what I had been looking forward to: the Grease Sing-along at Long Beach.

So Saturday Stephanie and I went to brunch, which just happened to be next to a Party City. Well, we just had to go see if there was something we might use to make the night more festive.

I immediately saw the tikis and thought: Rock-a-Hula Luau. Yes, I had Grease 2 on the brain the whole time and completely got it wrong... but it totally worked. Stephanie came up with this to save us - we were the "Pink Lei-Dees," get it? Lei? Pink? Get it?

Well, the people at the beach got it - we won the grand prize! Pink hula skirts, pink leis, 1950's glasses, and pink martini glasses is all it takes to win a costume contest in Long Beach, I guess. We were popular, people took our pictures, it was so much fun! This is why I like having roommates. I won't get all sad and weepy just now about how much it sucks I am leaving them just as we are all starting to click...

Ahem, so yeah, back to Grease. Fun. Demand it. Go see it. And the Grease 2 Sing-Along is coming to Outfest on July 14, I believe... so... now you know.
