GO NORTH, YOUNG MEN...
OR OLD MEN... WHATEVER

So this was my week "off" which meant that I had a 48 hour race to get to San Francisco, sign my job offer and contract, find an apartment, and get home to pack because Sunday morning I'm off to work for Pearson again for the next three weeks. The mission was successful. I have a job. I have an apartment. I have not slept in weeks.

Before that, however, and after that, actually, there was drinking with friends in varying locations. During, too, actually.

So this week you'll see my review of the Drag Queen Auditions at Hamburger Mary's. I'm impressed with many of the pictures I took, but I did realize one important thing about photography: you gotta have good lighting. I bought this cheap Rokinon flash unit instead of the expensive Canon one, and it shows. I was really disappointed with so many overexposed pictures.

And then you'll watch my search for an apartment in The City and my drinks at The Cinch with Sergio and Adam (and my new friends Cory, Patrick, and Nicky).

Oh, and to celebrate coming home, nothing says "Welcome back and bon voyage" like a wet underwear contest, right? Lighting lesson proved a second time - smaller camera, wrong flash setting, me too tipsy to notice = blurry sloppy pictures. But still, you can see some nice ass, so there you go.

Enjoy your week, I sure did. As you're reading this I'm visiting Chicago for what is essentially my first time. I was there a hundred years ago on a flight attendant interview, but it was a cold, snowy November and I really only remember getting a drink at Roscoe's I think. Twenty-four hours after landing, I was already on my flight home. This trip is 14 days in a row. Yay Pearson! Yay Chicago! Yay ME!
