I was so terribly worried my apartment would feel so tiny. I thought I would feel trapped in it. I was scared I would hate it.
Well, it sure got larger when I put stuff in it - who knew? I am very much liking the space I have here. The living room is larger than I thought, and I have three nice defined areas for sitting and being social, sitting and eating, and for working on my computer. The bedroom is nowhere near complete, but I bought a brand new bed (beds are expensive when you don't buy them from cheap squeaky discount mattress wholesalers... but damn, what a difference it makes! This is like sleeping on lovely pillowy clouds!) and so it's starting to come together. I have a headboard coming from Overstock.com very soon, I hope. By the 16th, they say. The closet - well - I've had walk-in closets before, but this one is really long and easy to manage. The bath came together quickly, still need some bath mats and such, but it's working out really well. The kitchen has a lot of storage, though I'm still struggling over where to put food and where to put dishes (note to self: buy dishes, you have none).
But so far, my most favoritest thing is the jacuzzi. I've gone down a few times, and just soaking in the jacuzzi, with the cold San Francisco summer wind blowing above, looking out over the city... it's lovely. I'm so glad to be here, finally. My nerves are leaving, life is coming together for me.
