There are three things worth mentioning this week.

1. I returned to the British Wicca Class in Oakland
2. I had a blind date
3. Castro had a Street Fair

One of those surely shocked you, as it did me. But this is San Francisco, and it's a most interesting city where anything can happen. Yes, even two street festivals two weekends in a row!

Oh, and I got kind of sick this week, too. Nothing too serious, just a bothersome cough and a bit of a fever along with some congestion... damn, it sounds worse when I type it all out like that. And I still have the cough, damn it.

There was a bit more good news this week: my principal doesn't blame me for the students being such dicks. She blames their morning teacher. He's angry (we're all angry) and the kids get upset and take it out in the afternoon when they leave him and come to me. At least that's her theory. But we're taking 8 of the worst offenders and assigning them to a special "opportunities" class outside the regular population in order to get some control back into the classroom. It's nice to have the validation that it isn't me - these kids are damaged and I'm not their therapist. I'm here to teach them readin', writin' and 'rithmetic. 'Nuff said.

Well, I'll just sit here and listen to my Florence + the Machine and reminisce about this week for you all.
